ACAP Tool Support

The Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP) provides financial and technical assistance for the implementation of best management practices (BMPs) on agricultural operations within Pennsylvania. Funded projects are tracked by entering spatial and financial data into a geographic information system (GIS) called the ACAP Reporting Tool.

Ben Maus, GIS Specialist at CACAT, will present new features within the ACAP Reporting Tool designed to help identify and correct common reporting mistakes that are impacting county and statewide ACAP data. Ben will explain how users can fix data entry issues such as ambiguous worksite addresses, blank form fields, and incomplete BMP information. Elaine Hinrichs, GIS Technical Support Lead and Trainer at CACAT, will also present quarterly report data entry reminders.

Live Tutorial: PAS Practice Manager Tool

For interested PAS trainees, we will be providing a live tutorial session on the current version of the PAS Practice Manager tool via Zoom from 8:30-9:30 AM on Thursday, March 5. No registration required to join the Zoom room.

Elaine Hinrichs, GIS Technical Support Lead and Trainer at CACAT, will demonstrate how to create a farm map with parcel boundaries and land units, how to draw and document PAS practices, and how to annotate and print a PDF map. Elaine will also explain recent updates to the PAS tool and hold time for tool support questions.
